7mm rem mag with retumbo????????

168gr Berger VLD it works great with Retumbo 71-74 gr. My two loads are very accurate and FPS stable. 168 VLD Berger with 74 gr of Retumbo gives me 3025 Fps and accurate.
71 gr flies about 2850 fps but still accurate. It shoots only 1 inch lower, but to the same center.
I did not try 175 gr bullets with Retumbo.
160 AB likes RL-22 better over Retumbo. I did not have a good luck with 160 AB and Retumbo.
My deer combo is 160 AB and RL-22 66 gr at 2850 fps. Very accurate. RL-22 with 68 gr, flies 3050 FPS.
No pressure and shoots great. I tested them in temp from 75F down to 32F.
This works in my rifle. It is Sako 85 with 24.5 barrel. 9.5 twist.

I am waiting for 168 ABLR to shoot it with Retumbo. This might be nice combo at 3000 fps from deer to moose.

yup I bout a few 168 LRAB and loaded them from 72-25 retumbo

My old 7rm did 3050-3070 with 72 grains and a 162 a-max. I wouldn't feel comfortable running them much faster.

Also, the 168 ablr's were, I think, 40ish fps slower than 162's with the same powder charges in my 7-08. Not sure if that's useful info to you or not...

I will make some at 70 and up then

I hear alot of good things from the 7mm Rem Mag and Retumbo. 160 AB's and Retumbo worked real nice in my WSM. Ran a cool 3000 without issues. I just use more RL25 than Retumbo, but I think you might have a winner Fotis.

Yeah I will start with 71 or so
