My 1924 FN Mauser (Mexican Mauser) rebarreled to 6.5mm Creedmoor made this tiny shot group at 100 yards. The 140gn Hornady SSTs and Superformance powder with 2.69" COL were shot over a sandbag at my range. I waited about a minute between shots. This load work up stuff was a breeze!

That will do nicely.......

That is one of the bullets that shoot very well from my wife's 6.5x55, should be a good bullet at the speeds a Creedmoor or similar rounds can push them.

Nicely done. That is a bragging size group.

Excellent! Good job with load work up and shooting. I would be tempted to frame that one.

+1 on the rifle pics
Also, what barrel did you put on?
Terrific group and great shooting!

The rifle has a 1:8 twist, 24" ER Shaw number 1.5 contour barrel. Its fully floated and the receiver is pitted right under the stock line-----but the receiver was made in 1924 and I have no idea what its been through. Luckily, the zinc phosphate on all the metal (minus the trigger and the bolt body) ought to keep things from pitting anymore. The gunsmith who put this together told me he got the headspace to 0.0015".
