I have .243 70 grain Varmageddon. Looking for load suggestions. Rifle is Winchester M70 CRF, .243WIN, 20 inch, 10twist.

41.5gr. Varget, Fed 210 primer and Lapua brass, pressure, heavy bolt lift at 42.0gr. Just off the lands, .010 off. Out of my Ruger American 22" barrel at an average velocity of 3441 and 5 shots in 5/8" at 100 yards.

I have those components. I’ll give it a try. I'll start at 39 first to check for pressure. Thanks

I've Only worked with one 243, but with the 70 gr BlitzKing IMR 4895 was the cats meow. Speedy and very accurate. I don't have my notes anymore ,but it was pretty near max at 38-39 grain.

Thanks! I’ll do some QL runs and some pressure tests first! Looking for ideas now.

This was 39.0gr IMR 4166 with the 70gr Varmageddons, at about 3155 fps. Also had good accuracy from 42.6gr IMR 4064 at about 3538 fps.
Thats excellent. I will keep an eye out for those powders. Funny, I have that swiis made same dial caliper from the 80's. If I remember correctly, you have a few good loads for the .243

My Marlin XS7 is an easy rifle to load for, that's for sure. Best-shooting $300 rifle I've ever owned. I'm currently working on a load with the 70gr Sierra BlitzKing and Varget.
