For all those wanting to hunt out west, now is the time for putting in all those hunting tags, building-up preference points, and generally dreaming about next season. Wyoming and Utah draws are allready open. Colorado, Montana, Nevada, and Idaho are just around the corner. Not to mention Arizona and New Mexico. Too many places to hunt, so little time/tags.

That goes to what the "rangemaster" was saying at the bb gun range this past weekend on a cubscout campout. He emphasized that the boys would be "working with the Daisy Buck BB Rifle" rather than playing, and he must have said working more than 10 times in relation to what they were doing. My son shot well, and confirmed for me that a small stocked gun that he can shoot left handed is the ticket for him right now. But I am going to use the "working with" line on my wife a bunch over the next few months and see if I can make it pay off.
