Hoping the get a little time to play with this rifle. My neighbor just built it for his brother to take on a wolf hunt in Alberta next month. Vanguard action, Pac nor 26" fluted barrel, mannors stock, Talley rings, vortex viper HS-LR 4-16x44 30 mm tube. Built with a 1:9 twist for the heavier bullets. Got some 117 sst's and rl 22 to start with.

It's a very nice rig. And as for the timney trigger. That's all that needs to be said. Hoping maybe I can get the barrel break in done tomorrow. We have a short range day before the Broncos game

My 257 Vanguard SMOA has a Timney waiting for it but with the groups I am shooting with it I will leave it in the package in the safe as I got a great factory trigger out of the 6 I own  was playing with a Mark V 338 Lapua the other day and it needed a trigger bad and it was still on the rack to be sold  2300.00 rifle should have a better trigger period! So is Denver playing someone tomorrow
Try some 110gr accubonds in that 1-9 twist as I am curious how that twist works out as I saw somewhere that a 1-9 twist should be good for 100 gr and above! I bet a 120gr Partition would be really sweat load for it with RL25 at max charge or close to it !!

I will have to load done 110s. What was supplied to me was 115 bergers and 117 sst. And yes Denver has a rematch with Tom Brady and the pats for the super bowl spot. Should be a good game. I'm hoping these 117s work. As his brother is gearing up to leave for alberta.when he gets back is when I really get to play with it. I just have to find a shootable load for now

Handsome rifle chambered in a most desirable cartridge. Good job on the set up.

I shot the 110 Accubonds in my free bored .257 Roberts with 1:10 twist at 3145 fps and they shoot way under MOA all day long. I am using IMR 4350 and H-Hybrid 100V for powders.
