New 150 AB Long Range 7mm Rem Mag

Just to get ready for new AB 150 grain long range. Lets talk about possible load for 7 mm rem mag.

I'd think a healthy dose of RL-22 would work great.

Have had excellent results with RL-22 and 160 gr bullets from the 7mm Rem mag. Accuracy and velocity.

Just have to be different - and I've had great results with it.
RL-22 burns so dirty, too.

With 160 AB RL-22 load 65.5 gr works very vell. I wonder how soon these LR AB will come out?

It doesn't get terribly hot this far north, TT (maybe 85F in the summer as a maximum). I have shot quite a bit of ReLoder powders in cold weather (down to -30C). There is a measurable loss of velocity, but it has not proved a detriment to hunting for me. I still use a lot of the various Alliant powders (primarily RL22, RL19 and RL15).

TT, I use all RL powders, RL7, RL15, RL19, RL22, and RL25 for pretty much everything I load for. I shoot from Virginia heat in the Summer to 0-50* while hunting throughout the Northeast and Northwest and haven't found it bad at all. I will say that I have seen lot to lot variances, not huge, but to mitigate that, I went to buying 5lb'ers. Since then, I haven't had any issues.

I'm really looking forward to the 168g in my 7 STW. 3000fps with a .652BC? It still will have 1600 foot pounds of energy at 700? Sign. me. up.

Hope to see the 150's myself, for use in the 7BRM. While not overly fast at figuring around 2500 fps ahead of a full charge of H-4350 should do well I think. While not a powerhouse, it is plenty for what I use it for, and now with exrtended range capability. Yet still have the light recoiling characteristics, and a good sarter for the young ones coming up.

Id go for some RL22 H1000 or Retumbo, maybe some H4831 as well.

I'm anxiously waiting for the 168s as well for my 7 RM and my cousins 7 RUM

I wonder how fast they could be thrown? 3200 would make one mean long range rig. But with that .6 plus b.c. I guess 2900 would even make a pretty good rig.

IMR 7828 worked great with 150 BT's in my sako 75. 69 gr did 1.5" at 200 yards and 3150 fps
