Just got back from our prairie dog haunts out west and I had loaded up some 40 gr. LFBTs for the .223s for the first time this year... they did great!

Flat shooting, accurate, not much for fouling and bucked the wind surprisingly well. I expected them to get blown around quite a bit, but the shorter flight time really seemed to cut down on drift. I have not yet clocked these loads but was impressed nevertheless.

Both of my 700s shoot well with a combination of loads, but I've settled on IMR 8208 in this cartridge with Federal 205M primers. Lots of very dead prairie dogs. Good job once again Nosler!

Nice report. Seems like a good bullet for the varmint shooter, and particularly so if hunting in a lead-free area.

A 40 grainer ought to just flat move out from a .223 rifle!
