First Handmade Elk Hunter Knife

That's very cool. Beautiful one of a kind hand crafted knife and a gift that will be cherished.

Pretty cool knife!
How does it fit the hand?
Function might be another matter...

Always wanted to do that, Very Nice. Did you use a kit or prefabed blade? If so which company? CL

I'm curious how you procured the blade as well. I haven't got the money together to get the equipment for it yet, but I have done a lot of research over the last couple years into knife making. Since I've been cooking so much lately, I'm planning on having a custom kitchen knife made for myself soon. Learned a lot getting into Japanese kitchen knives last year, and sharpening has become a favorite hobby of mine, though I'm probably no better than average at it.

Made another knife with a hickory handle. I fractal burned the handle and installed an elk ivory from this year's bull in the butt of the handleIMG_5086.JPGIMG_5087.JPG
