Just received my wife's new McSwirly for her Remington 700. I had the stock aluminum pillar bedded. What is the correct torque settings for the actions screws? I am thinking 60lb. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you CMBT. Here is a few pics of the new stock. Not exactly colors that I would have chosen. I think that I will need to move the scope forward--the factory stock was too long for her short arms. She is very excited, and I am excited for her. 50-65" Lb's are usually the numbers I work with. I also run a little bit of blue threadlocker on them, to keep them snugged up. It can be undone, but I hate getting loose screws.
