.243 85gr Partition

7mmRM 150gr Partition (I am now shooting 3150fps and would like to reshoot this one to compare the speeds)

30-06 180gr B-Tip

444 Marlin 265 InterLock

I still have a few to catch but the neighbor kids are not drinking milk fast enough!!!
Up next-338/225 AccuBond, 30-06/180 AccuBond, 7mmRM/150 B-tip, 35 Whelen/250 Hot-Cors.

Interesting - Impressed with the .243 85PT.
I shoot that 30 cal 180gn BT in a 300WSM at a little faster muzzle speed. Again interesting penetration at the 2760fps.
Good job.

Yes, indeed, the 85 grain PT is pretty impressive. I may have to look for some of these to build a load for my grandson.

I have started a load for my wife and her BAR with the 243 85PT using RL17. I need to get out and chrono it. This is just for whitetails. Seeing that penetration I believe getting to the vitals is a non issue. The 100gn PT has always been dependable, this is our first time using the 85PT.

Wow, I thought the 265 interlock from a 444 Marlin woulda made it through another jug or two... But it did open up like a parachute and hold onto a lot of weight. I'll be trying to get a deer with them this year.

Maybe I have thick "skinned" jugs. I think they will work great on deer and bear over a bait site. I hope to see the results in person this fall.

I am going to try RL19 with the 243 next. They didn't group the best with IMR4350.

I loaded the 95gr partitions for a number of years in my son's 243 in the BDL. That was one rifle that I really wished I would have kept. Those 95gr were lethal on Whitetail.
Watched that video on the 30-30, the shooter and the bullet were very impressive.

Blessings,
Dan

That 444 may have 'only' made it through 4 jugs, but I'll bet the splash watered the lawn for a full acre all around ! I smell serious bear medicine.
