I'm looking for some favorite loads for a bolt action 6.5mm Creedmoor. The rifle has a new 1:8 twist, 24" Shaw barrel on a FN Mexican Mauser action. I have 129gn Hornady Interlock, 130gn Swift Scirocco II, and 140gn Hornady SST bullets to test and new Hornady brass.

45.3 grains of ram shot hunter, 140 grain CCHPBT, CCI BR2, Hornady brass, 2.825 OAL. Big Game worked well for the light 100 grain BT.

43.5gr H4350 with the 129gn Hornady Interlock
41.5-42gr H4350 with the 140gn Hornady SST
Used both those loads in my creed before settling on a 120gr NBT load.
Usual cations apply, start low and work up.

Very cool topic. The 6.5 Creedmor is interesting. Seriously looking at one for my small 6.5. It looks very impressive with 123's as well. H4350 and RL17 seem real good in the small case.

I just picked up some RL17, I'm going to load the full spectrum of bullets with it. If it manages to get above zero in the next few months I'll get to shoot them.

I have heard from several (3) 6.5 CM shooters that RL17 really eats up the 6.5 barrels. Dont know this first hand so take for what its worth but H4350 slowest powder they recommend.

If I manage to burn through this barrel I will happily screw another one on. The 6.5 Creedmoor is a keeper.

Have not heard anything like that about RL17. But there was a rumor floating around about H4350 doing the same thing but that's complete BS.
I know some people are runnning slower powders then H4350 with the 140gr pills, using H4831sc, VVN160 and VVN165 RL19, Ramshot Hunter, H100V and Superformance powders with good results.
I have personally used H4831SC and VVN165 in my 6.5 Creedmoor with 130gr and 140gr bullets with good results.
Most powders listed for the 260 rem will work since case capacity is so close.
