Anyone ever load for the 460 Rowland or used one? Kind of like a hot 45 ACP round that's got me thinking about a new toy. You can get a conversion kit for Glock 21s and Feather USA makes carbines that use Glock mags.

I have a Kimber Target w/ the Clark kit & a Mech-Tech carbine set up for 460 Rowland. It's more than just a hot 45 acp. It's more than a hot 45 Super. I haven't loaded for it for a while. I haven't shot it much lately and am using ammo loaded a while ago when the 460 was younger and less load data was available. All my loads were around 10-12gr of Long Shot, using 200 & 230gr bullets. It does meet the velocity claims. OAL is critical in regards to pressure with this round. You absolutely need to ensure bullets are not getting set back during feeding to avoid an overpressure situation. Other than that it is as easy to load as 45 acp.
