I have been shooting the same .270, Model 70 for 40 years but owned two or three other .270's in different brands as well. All of them shot well with loads that they liked.

I know a pretty reliable gun company that makes a fine 270 and they have a pretty good forum as well...
If you can fork out $2.5K you get a custom barrel (no tool marks), trigger (fully adjustable--ignore the paint on the adjustment screws...comes right off), attention to detail (wood grain and floating job are perfect) and bragging rights (not too many people have them). It truly is a Legacy!
