270 win 130&140 bt and ab quick load

Always looking for a new load. Maybe stumble upon another super star load for the 270. Looking for s quick load using mag pro. Rp cases fired measuring 67.1 gr water. Ab oal will start at 3.412"& bt oal will start at 3.522" with a 24" tube.

Both of those look real good to me. Magpro is real nice in the 270WSM, should work real well in a standard 270.. Can't wait to see how they work out.

MagPro is not commonly available here in Canada. I did manage to find three pounds a few years back. I've used that stock for a few select loads in my WSMs, especially my 7mm WSM.

Argh we can't get them at all down here. Sure we are well served with the ADI stuff and I will never complain about that. But if you want to try something else you have only intermittently available Alliant and Vihta stuff, and some Win powders.

Would love to get some of those Accurate and Ramshot powders to try, as well as the Norma and some others.

Bob, many powders are difficult to obtain in Canada as well. However, small amounts of some of these do trickle across the border. There is no steady supply beyond Hodgdon, IMR and Winchester.

I have had really good luck with mag pro. Both ramshot magnum and mag pro are made by western. Graffs currently has 1# cans of mag pro

This was the best group from my load work up using mag pro with 140 ab. .060" off lands. length measured with comparator 2.940" charge was 62.5 gr. Now to verify and throw them over the crony..

Mag Pro looks to be an excellent powder for the 270 Win, it shows some excellent velocities from the data I have seen. Great looking load.

Very nice group. If it tests out and does the same I sure wouldn't mess with it.
