    Barnes TSX, any leads?

I’ve been looking for one box of the Barnes .30 Cal. 168gr. Original TSX for about a month and a half now, does anyone have any idea where there might be some available? My little sister drew her first buck tag on ranching for wildlife (lucky) but the opportunity for her to kill a 180” buck...

    2019 Success

Was fortunate enough to take a bear and Bull this year with my .300 win. Mag and 215 Berger’s. They performed very well, as usual. Couldn’t be more blessed to have a wife that allows me time each year to be in my “safe place” up in the mountains. Huge thanks to family and friends for the help...

    .223 53gr V-Max loads

Anyone have any go-to loads for this combo? Not for a AR so OAL isn’t an issue. Have H335, varget, BLC2 sitting on my shelf off the top of my head, maybe a couple more. Anyone know if this bullet likes jump or jam?

Recovered 215 Berger from Mule deer buck

Buddy took a Muley buck with his .300 and the trusty 215 Berger, MV 2,960fps. Shot was 275 Yards, steep down hill quarting away fairly hard. Bullet did massive damage to the liver, and lungs and was found off side right in the armpit of the buck. Deer didn’t even move, dropped like a rock.

    215gr Berger Hybrid on antelope

MV is 2,991fps and this is my bullet of choice for my .300 Doe number one was at 290 Yards, and she dropped in her tracks. 6.5 Creed 129ABLR loads

Having a 6.5 Creedmoor built and am wanting to try the 129gr ABLR, wasn’t super thrilled with the 6.5 140gr Berger Elite Hunters my buddy used on antelope this year. This bullet intrigued me tho, anybody had any luck with it and H4350, H4831sc, or Varget? Thanks in advance!

    Peterson Brass

Got the Peterson .300 Win. Mag. Brass in and it is packaged excellently. Checked dimensions and they were all right where they should be. Weighed 50 cases and there was only .6grs variation in all 50, most were within a .4gr spread. No burrs, necks chamfered inside and out, flash holes drilled...

    Antelope 2017

Well, just got home from antelope with my buddy this year. Hunted wyoming with his cousin and had an absolute blast! Lots of animals, beautiful country, meat in the freezer and wonderful memories. My buddy and I had two doe tags a piece and his wife had one doe tag. I shot my .300 Win. Mag. And...

    Speed Tests with 230 Berger's .300WM

Well since I had to fireform all that crap brass from Nosler, I figured I'd try to do something productive with it. I decided to speed test a the 230 Berger with H1000, H4831, and RL26. I'm fortunate enough to have two .300 Win Mag barrels throated for 215 Berger's, so I put my old one one as to...

Nosler .300 Win. Mag. Brass issues

    Vortex Golden Eagle Impressions

Put the golden eagle on a buddy's 6.5x47 I've been contemplating buying from him, while I'm waiting for my .284 to get finished up. After work one day I took it and got it zeroed at 100 yards and proceeded to take it to a local 600 yard F-class shoot and was very impressed with the glass and...

    Nosler Customer Service Connection

Looking for an email address to directly link me to Nosler Customer Service. I emailed them via their website with no response in two weeks. Home made zero stop

Machined a zero stop for my Leupold today. Fits snug on the turret and doesn't spin, has about 0.040" of tension holding it in place. Made it to allow me to dial 5MOA down from my zero. Worked out pretty slick

    Reticles

I've currently got a Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x50mm LR scope on my .300 Win. Mag. It currently has a fine Duplex reticle, I have been pondering sending it in and having a wind plex reticle installed. I feel it would be very useful in quick windage adjustments. My concern is the cross hairs will be...

    Windy LR Practice

Buddy and I snuck to the range today after church, it's been a blustery day in the hundred acre wood for sure, winds 15-30MPH all day. But, the winds gonna blow in competition and while hunting, so why not shoot in it? 215 Berger's from the .300 definitely have an advantage in the...

    1,475 yard practice

Going through my phone this evening, I found this video of a shot I took with my .300 Win. Mag. It's cold bore with my standard set up, Leica 1600, Kestrel 2500, Applied Ballistics software and my trusty .300 with 215 Berger's. I love the challenge and science of making cold bore first round...
