In general I figure it's a good bullet if a guy just wants to be prepared for a variety of things bigger then a P-dog but smaller then an elk.

Guy, your question was so good I had to think about it some more.
This is going to be my "Any where my AR goes, this load follows....load...."
I don't know if I can think of a better general survival load. My AR sports a 16" medium match barrel and a 1-4 Leopold VXII. If I found myself stranded someplace with it and a few mags of the 64gr BSB, I'd be in pretty good shape. I could take a cottontail without blowing it up, and deer or antelope with confidence, and perhaps an elk with a well placed shot. It would server well in in the personal defense capacity. This bullet just seems to provide everything thing I want in a non-varmint round for the AR.
My oldest daughter just turned 12, and for her birthday she had a choice of a new wool coat or an AR stripped lower......she choose the stripped lower. It will be a few more birthday's and Christmas's before we have it built out for her, but I imagine this load will make short work of some SD whitetails on Grandpa's place.
