Nothing ground breaking as far as accuracy, but maybe I can work with the seating depth a little with it and see if I can pull them together. Looks like somewhere in the 76.5-77 grain mark will be where I end up. Pretty powerful combo though. I'd love to take that load hunting. Elmer seemed to like them quite alot back in the old days.

That’s about the accuracy I’m getting with the 250gr GS in my 338 WM. Barnes are shooting decent but the Speers not so good. N555 is the powder I’m using.

That's some potent medicine for the big critters.

I loaded up some more of them, also went back to another .010 in COAL, so I think I'll find a spot they wanna shoot. I think it'd be cool to use them old bullets on elk. I jug tested them years ago and they went a long way. BC can't be horrible on them either.

Dang Scotty... I've got a partial box of old 285 grain Speer Grand Slam .375" bullets, given to me by a friend 10+ years ago. I've never shot any of them. I suspect that they'd work just fine on most anything.... These are probably the original Grand Slams with the dual-core...

I'd think so Guy. Speer has worked fine for me over the years.

I have a couple boxes of these. Going to work up a load. They are a good bullet and they were priced pretty cheap locally.

I have a pile of the 250 Grand Slams as well. Be cool to see how some of them hold up. They're priced pretty reasonable.

If you’re looking for more there is a feller selling some on 24 CF

Thanks RL, FJ hooked me up with a few more boxes of them big suckers. I think I am good. I also think he was able to get them for around 30 bucks a box so I feel like I have enough.

Wow!!! I have only a little over one pound of Reloader 26.Wish I would have bought an 8 pounder. That powder can do amazing things with the right bullet weights.
