Nosler's Bonded Performance 64 Grain Solid Base bullet performance on game?

A lot of LE agencies issue this for the 223/5.56 patrol rifles. Winchester loads this bullet in the Ranger line of ammo. It has performed excellent in all situations that I’ve seen.

    7mm ballistic tips

Yea, I knew the 120 was tougher, but I read that the 150 was too. I’m debating on whether to go with the 150 or 160 in my 7mm Rem Mag.

    7mm ballistic tips

I’ve read that a 150 grain ballistic tip is built tougher than a 160 grain ballistic tip. Does anyone know if there’s any truth to this?

    what is going on?

Don’t believe it then. I’m just telling you what I’ve seen, and I’ve been shooting a 204 since they were first introduced.

    what is going on?

The one i shot at 463 splashed upon impact. So yea, I still had an explosive bullet.

    what is going on?

I’ve shot them as close as 20 yards and my furthest was 463 yards.

    what is going on?

Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. I keep a 204 Ruger in my truck and have used it on a lot of critters, including a pile of pigs. It surprised me at how deadly it is on wild hogs. I get better penetration with the Berger, but still get good bang-flop kills on coyotes and bobcats.

    what is going on?

Because the 32 V max is super fragile. I’ve had several splash impacts on coyotes with the 32 grain pills. I switched to the 35 Berger and have had no more issues. The 35 Berger has performed just as everything I’ve read said it would…and even better.

    what is going on?

This is exactly why I’m slowing changing over to Hornady in all my rifles. I wish Hornady would make a .204 bullet in something a little tougher than a V-Max… preferably around 35 grains. The 35 grain Berger is amazing.

Thanks for the help/advice guys. Looks like I’m going to stick with the 85 gr BTHP.

    6mm suggestions/advice

It’s strange because the rifle will shoot 85 gr Sierra BTHP amazing. But i bump up to a 90 accubond or 85 interbond and accuracy goes to crap.
