While the SA-35 was off to Springfield I picked up Springfield Ronin lightweight 9mm. I took it to the range with the SA -35 and shot a few dozen rounds through it. The edges of the beaver tail on the grip safety and the back edge of the thumb safety were so rough they put raspberries on the...
I appreciate you posting that JD. I've been looking over 9mm luger for EDC in my new 9mms. It appears that the standard velocity Federal HST has it all, penetration, expansion and consistency. I have a couple hundred rounds of Federal 124gr HydraShok +p+ that I was gifted a decade ago that I...
Man! That looks larapin.
The first "large" crutter my son shot with a rifle was a wild boar that weighed 125lbs. There was much skepticism in the family about eating a boar. I took the back strap and coated them liberally with Tony's and then wrapped them in bacon and smoked 'em. They were...
I got my SA-35 back from Springfield, it took three weeks from shipping day to return day. I got out to the range and ran a couple hundred rounds of white box 115gr through six MecGar magazines without a hiccup. I did some draw and reload drills and found the gun handled much like a 1911...
That Body Guard is a nice pocket pistol. My wife chose it because it has a safety. I like because it will fit in the cargo pocket of my 5.11s.
I wish you could train them all, there are too many drivers out there that graduated from the we don't fail anybody school. Good luck in your new...
On the positive side, Springfield apologized and sent out a FedEx label right off. The were as friendly and as helpful as I guess they could be. Though they wouldn't just send me out a new extractor.
I bought me a new handgun back before Christmas but haven't been able to get out to the range to give it a good break in. Finally got out Monday with my new Springfield SA-35 9mm. I shot a couple if mags in the back yard to make sure everything functioned correctly and it did. At the range I...
The 270 win chambered in a Winchester model 70 Featherweight is a very good combination especially when backed up by a 150gr Nosler Partition pushed to 2975 fps by IMR 7828 ssc.
I use it for 130gr 270 Win, 70gr 243Win, and 55 & 60gr 220 Swift. I found several lbs at the "lgs" last month so I'm good for now. If I could find some 7828 ssc I'd set for some time.
I have a 2013 Ford F150 130000 miles. My wife has been showing me some Tacomas that look real sharp and hinting I should trade. A couple of days ago my Ford stranded me in the shopping mall parking lot shopping with my wife. Had to tow it to the shop. Turns out the fuse box to the starter...
