I haven’t heard this aspect of the story.
Ive just heard about the hunters dying.
Regardless I don’t think I would take a deer that I felt was infected with the disease, let alone eat it.
Im not too sure I trust the CDC much either….
I think I would start at your COAL 3.217 length and work towards the 3.305 COAL.
you have a known at 3.217 try your increases from there and move out longer towards the .050 jump.
If I’m understanding you correctly
I can’t speak to velocities as I don’t have a chronograph.
The factory ammo usually posts the barrel length their box I believe of the test rifle Which seems to usually be 24”?
Is there a reason why you need a certain velocity?
My Tikka T3x compact has a 20” barrel, and using my handloads can...
I left my barrel black, and just took off the stock, and painted that. I believe I also used rust oleum paint in camo/mat colors. Not as good as yours is however….
I personally use FMJs for practice at the range. I get “cheap” ones and use them to do my thing.
When using for self defense I really am looking for something with stopping power. With this in mind I really find interest in the 147 HSTs. I want the energy dump, and these seem to show that in...
Wow!
looks like I’m changing my rounds out soon!
not really impressed with the results of the Hydra-Shoks.
Actually I’m very disappointed as I could be just shooting FMJs with almost the same results. At less cost!
I carry the 124 hydraShok 9mm in my Shield plus.
I’m going to look into the 147 HST based on the conversation here.
im curious to know the differences between the two bullets.
That Norma looks pretty nasty. I would like to know the “stopping power” behind that one.
I have a Field Notes notebook for each rifle I have.
i don’t want to keep my info on a computer as, in my opinion, I don’t want it available to anyone I don’t want it available to.
And, if anything were to happen to the computer then my info would not be accessible.
I realize that things can...
I’ve never hunted Elk before. I would love to, but have never had the opportunity (mostly due to financial constraints)
However, I think if I’m paying a guide to hunt Elk I’m making the decision as to how far I’m going to shoot, and how close I would like to be.
If that guide can’t do that then...
Natchez is having a hazmat free day (yesterday and today 1/22 & 1/23) and I just picked up two pounds of Varget @ $53 each.
A bit of a sale and no hazmat charge….
I’m hoping that the prices will even out more (maybe a change in gov.) Will help with that?
Probably won’t go down much if at all with the way things go, but hopefully.
i plan on reloading until I can’t anymore.
Living in NY has some limitations to say the least, and having to have a background...
I’ve heard very good things about TAC and the .308, and those are great results.
The price is little over half that of Varget as well.
I think the reason I went with Varget was that it was more temp stable than TAC, however I really don’t know how much that would come into play To be honest...
